Outgoing links do not reduce the pagerank of the page that is linked from. The number of links on a page have nothing to do with the pagerank of that page.

The number of links do affect how much "link juice" is passed to the linked sites. If you have 10 quality outbound links, each site will get a percentage of the weight from your page's page rank. If you have 50 links, obviously there is less weight to spread out, so the destination sites get less weight, or less influence, from your links.

Outbound links do not affect PageRank in any way.

They can affect your SERPs, however, depending on who you link to, how you link, and how many outbound links you have. Quality outbound links can improve SERPs. Shitty, unrelated outbound links can hurt the SERPs.

What matters is that pr0 is wrong about there being no PR leakage.

That iframe makes you link to 2 pages: first link is model page that tracks your sales and second link is webcams.com index page that doesn't track your sales. Google counts the outgoing links to these pages as separate links, thus PR leak.

Also, webcams.com know what they are doing, because they even set up a title tag for that link, to maximize SEO effect.

Does PR really mean much at all? I have first page serp listings for _fairly_ competitive keywords and PR0 on some of my celebrity pages.

it makes no sense that when links are selling for 200-300 dollars on solid pr6-7 domains, there is no pr loss, why would the site limit the # of links they display?

why so much drama here on GFY .. giving or not giving PR they get good links for SEO for free and these links are up not for this .. they are up for money and not to help them get good inbound links just like that .. on my side this is wrong .. I don't have their links up .. but IF I had I'll remove them ..

I think you might want to recheck where you read about this..

PageRank Leak or PageRank Leakage, is sending PR to sites you don't intend to send to, not linking to another site causing a chunk of your PR to be taken away and given to them.

If your theory was true, than that means nobody would be linking in fear of losing their PR.

it's a traffic leak and is shady, many people will have missed it. why would you give a link to webcams.com if you weren't gtetting paid for it?

aside from the fact that its rediculous a sponsor puts a hard link in their iframe code - its blatant stealing - your pr does depend on the number of outgoing links also. If you got a page with 1000 incoming links and 5000 outgoing links your pr is way worse than if you got only 10 outgoing links on a page with 1000 icoming links. Its pretty damn logical....

Google will punish any website which is sending too many outbound links and that is a fact.

on the other hand if you have 10-20 links outbound, and, 20,000 incoming links you will not see any affect and will not be punished.

But that being said they are still sneaky for hiding a backlink in the iframe (if that is the case)
