I know there have been a ton of threads on this subject but i just saw this vid and the president clearly states that he beleives that pot should be decriminalized. I really have never heard a real politician other than Ron Paul & Kusinich talk about a subject with such intelligence and understanding.

There's a big difference between saying "I believe marijuana should be decriminalized" and saying "as President, I WILL decriminalize marijuana"

It's the same thing with the whole 16 month plan to get out of Iraq....he always said it was a plan and was subject to change depending on the situation on the ground. (Quote "we have to be as careful getting out as we were careless going in")...but now you have all these idiots saying that he "lied" and that during the campaign he "promised" he would have the troops out in 16 months.

He promised no such thing....just like he never promised to decriminalize pot or 100 other things. Yet for some reason everything he said he'd "like to do" or "believes we should do" has somehow become a "promise that he's breaking" or a "lie that he's told"...because the media (and alot of other people) have a need for there to always be controversy to drive up ratings.

(Quote "we have to be as careful getting out as we were careless going in")...but now you have all these idiots saying that he "lied" and that during the campaign he "promised" he would have the troops out in 16 months. He promised no such thing....just like he never promised to decriminalize pot or 100 other things. Yet for some reason everything he said he'd "like to do" or "believes we should do" has somehow become a "promise that he's breaking" or a "lie that he's told"...because the media (and alot of other people) have a need for there to always be controversy to drive up ratings. __________________ sig too big
