Well.. I'd prefer this over any other option I have currently. So I guess I enjoy this. I'm just such a lazy bastard, I wish I had millions of dollars getting 4% intrest on my bank account and do nothing.. but I have like 250? in my account, that doesn't get me huge intrest.

You know quiet...I've done a lot of things.

I tried stand up comedy...I worked in the commercial/film biz out in La...I've managed resteraunts...I was a repairman at Six Flags Over Texas (ass't foreman over video games repair)...I'd have to say tho' I love the fuck out of this job.

It's challenging...you must use all your skills from biz to art.
I don't just show up at an office and churn out shit all day long.

Sometimes there is a production line mentality in it especially when you're encoding video or cropping images etc...but when it comes to coming up with the perfect sales pitch...the perfect layout..design etc...it makes it al worthwhile.

I'm actually pretty indifferent to the porn industry itself.. But there's a lot to like..

1 - It's one of the only industries where a tech guy or a content guy or a biz guy can put together a respectable sized company from basically nothing.

2 - No bosses. I hate fucking working for people.

3 - The people. Lots of free spirited people in this industry. Very few sticks-up-asses here, like in the IT world where I came from.

I just like it. It could be selling blenders online for all I care.. The chicks are really just content after a while, you get dulled to it. You start to enjoy clothed women a whole lot more (mmmm.. Morgan Webb)

Cheers,
Backov

Yeah I agree with you...but one thing tho'.
I did the ebay thing for awhile and was making some decent extra cash and was building a nice bit of biz...but I got tired of all those damn trips to the post offices hauling packages..and don't get me started on the fucking packing.

I was always the guy selling the object that didn't fit in a standard free priority box.

In comparison with the other businesses I am also involved in, I enjoy this the most. I can't quite get my head around the longevity side of it though. I guess the bottom line is, I don't really want my kids to get involved with it.
I do spend a bit of time working on property development, which I see as a good area for my cash flow...

It was a lot more fun in the beginning when things seemed fresh, and less saturated and money wasn't rolling in. Like anything else I suppose, the newness and excitement wears off after awhile and all the big paychecks are just business as usual. Every other site looks the same, all the sponsors the same, avs's the same, email programs the same. Same old content and video feeds.

Need more toys, more entertaining diversions. What do you do to keep it interesting ?

hah. this sounds wondeful from the outside. but believe me, the idea is a joke. i've been burned by everyone from basic employees, to family.

you run a business, you fucking run a business.

anyone who says, 'stop crying, just have some lackies run it' - is on crack. we should tell lensman to do the same. why does he work all the time? he should just hire some people to run everything for him.

anyway, i'm done in october

I used to think porn was a worthy diversion -- but really now I think it's stupid. There needs to be more focus on beauty instead of "How much power do I have over this woman?"

Both... Point is offline business should squash online business. The internet should be merely a means to cost-effectively transmit your message to the world.

Love it
I spent 2 years doing this parttime while still working other businesses from both an employee stand point and a part owner. Now having a partner is plain ruthless outside of the internet!

Lots of work but how many businesses can you get into that through networking a fellow webmaster/business person will help you? Send customers to your sites, give you pointers and just plain help you make more money overall?

So, I do love it!

I'm only in this industry because the money is so good. I don't get much pleasure from being a part of it, and knowing that I've sold porn to thousands of people doesn't exactly fill my heart with pride.

I do like porn. I like to watch it when I wanna jerk off. But if I could own a company that could make as much easy money as I currently do, I would be out of this industry tomorrow.

I like this industry. Well, no, that's not right. I like the parts of it I am involved in. Couldn't take a lot of the bullshit. Taking the photos I like, running my sites, and haveing some independence mean a lot to me. Better than an office job.

I like this industry but personally i'm only here for the money. I'd much rather be working in a industry where I got off the damn computer and worked outside or dealt with REAL people all day long instead of working on porn sites day in day out.

Funny, I was photoshoping a girls image for a new paysite i'm working on last night, I had just masked her and I had to ZOOM right up 1200% up to here twat and get rid of the left over masking bits and brushing around that area really did bring what I do into perceptive. Funny shit anyways.

I do probably own my current life to this industry so I'll never diss it but fuck I am kinda sick of porn. I'm gonna make a shitload of money and then go get a normal social job.

I do it for the money.

I've been a sports car freak these last few years. 2 years ago when I was working minimum wage, I was saving for a 1984 Camaro -- nice car, but American.

Now I can buy several every month.

Long live the industry! The Invisible Hand controls us all!

You were saving for an '84 camaro? I hope you're joking.

I'm fairly fresh into the industry... I use to not see the hype of internet porn...I was never one to surf it let alone pay for it, or even think of building a porn site... it was just never my thing... then I got into web design and tried to make it off it just designing peoples sites... then I found that most of the fuckers trying to run businesses non-porn are fucked in the head and think they should get shit for free... then I was talking with a friend and found that he was doing porn sites... finally I sat down and actually looked into it... I then found it to be a good idea to build sites to my specifications and not someone else...

now any other job is not worth my time

I am serious. I WAS saving. My knowledge of cars 2 years ago was no where near what it is now (though I still have lots to learn).

I have no interest in internet porn. I have nothing against it, mind you, but I don't surf for it either.

For me, it's all about the $$, and more than that, the freedom I have working for myself.

I do like the people I've met in this business - at conventions, parties, etc...

I'm truly enjoying this business. Will I do it forever - no, but I don't see myself doing anything else in the near future.
