Rebills - Epoch vs Paygea vs CommerceGate
Hi
We are having allot of declined re-bills, we have 3 processors on our cascading: 1. Netbilling / Paygea - own merchant 2. Commercegate 3 Epoch Now epoch is the most expensive and people can cancel on epoch instead on ours so we have less control/understanding on what goes on there, we have it as 3rd Cascader, Netbilling is our own merchant account with more control on the emails/cancellations and so on, so we prefer using it, we also pay much less then epoch. Commercegate is a 3rd party processing the same like epoch but with a much better rate. Here is what the stats say: there was a period that we used Epoch as first cascader, looking back over the stats its showing the most re-bills compared to the other two. Why I am worried: We own other online business that we actually speak to the customers and allot of the customers say they spoke to the banks and the reason for the declines are that the transaction is international and the bank automatically denies it. So its making me think.... Is Netbilling and Commercegate (which I know for sure dont use American banks to process the money) are getting us more declines because the customers banks see international banks? Has anyone has any experience with this? Much appreciated |

Hi
Just looking at more stats and here is what i found: Netbilling had 50% more sales then Epoch and half of the re-bills then Epoch. I changed epoch for first cascader for now, will continue to investigate. Also, emailed Epoch and asked which banks do they use American or EU and they replied that for EU customers they use EU banks and US customers they use US banks. So that kind of kills the point of US credit card companies declining EU processing companies but 50% more re-bills with half the traffic with epoch, thats a huge difference. more programs opinions please. Thanks |
