May i have a test IP and download file to test. thx

Brujah 02-17-2009 07:26 PM

Good stuff, just wish it was available to existing customers too.

SpeakEasy 02-17-2009 07:43 PM

This is a good de3al If you are not happy with your current host. I mean if you are not happy then you would be looking to move anyway so why not consider natnet if your current host is not good. They are supossed to be one of the goos hosts and now they are lowering their prices, so I would say to all those people that aew Not happy with their current host jump on this, hell it's only a 12 month contract what do you have to lose.:2 cents::thumbsup

All the best, kick some booty with the price match Tony and Bill! :thumbsup

Yup, I got a half dozen servers on NatNet that I'm really happy with. I'd love to add more, but for what I need, 12 month commits is out of the question, just too risky. Either way, my existing setup is awesome :)

Cool dealings!

Ross 02-18-2009 07:57 AM

I'm getting in on this deal this time. I hesitated last time round and it almost cost me a lot.

I'll be contacting someone this weekend or early next week.

Awesome deal.

nation-x 02-18-2009 08:39 AM

We have a couple of servers at NatNet and have been very happy with them for the most part. :) Our blog hosts are hosted there and a tgp server with over 100 active tgps. Support is fast... post a ticket and have an answer within minutes. My only complaint is that sometimes the techs don't read the whole ticket when they switch shifts (or something) and sometimes don't do exactly what you asked for in the first place... but I think the majority of that can be cleared up with precise communication... something I sometime FAIL at.

nation-x 02-18-2009 08:48 AM

Also, email can be a pain in the ass with NatNet because (at least in my case) they have locked it down to my ip and since I am on Time Warner cable I have a dynamic ip... so I end up not being able to send email from my local box unless I have them update the ip. We have also experienced some downtime occasionally... once was due to a bad script they ran that caused a problem with their firewall for a bunch of servers and another time their DNS was being DDos's at 6GBps... but I think that both situations were something that any host could have experienced.

When I login to the account admin there has been the same message for some months...

Important news!

We are currently experiencing some issues with our mail server. The mail server has been repaired and is on it's way back up, however it's presently going through a disk check, which is taking some time. We don't have a solid ETA at the moment (any number we give would be pure conjecture), however it should be back sometime in the next couple of hours.

We do apologize for the inconvenience, there should be no mail lost as a result, just a slight delay in it's delivery.
I am sure this is an oversight.

Thanks, rocket scientist. That's why I asked if there was anything for current customers (as in a different offer).

Hi

Can you please contact me at bill AT nationalnet DOT com about this? Announcements should only show up until you click the "acknowledgement" button, then you should never see it again, so it's possible that there is an issue with your account in mynatnet.

With regards to your email being locked down by IP, I want to get more information about that as well as that doesn't sound quite right...

Thanks

so after 12 months the monthly price'll stay the same ? Also my current host ( webair ) adds me some bw from time to time for free - is it pricey to get a small bandwidth increase in natnet ? This offer looks very teasing....

You sir sound like the perfect candidate for this deal. See most people are probabally at a good host that they are happy with so it's useless to move but since you are at a shitty host then ths deal makes sense for you. Good Luck mate.:2 cents:

Hi there,

With regards to your question, that's very hard to say because there is no way of knowing where things will be in 1 year.

As the previous poster stated, if you're at a host you're unhappy with, that's the customer we're looking for. If you're happy with your current host, then you should stay there :thumbsup

If you have additional questions, you can email me at sales AT nationalnet DOT com

Let me expand on that just a little bit just to let everyone know that this is not a program where we plan to jack up your rates at the end of the 12 month period. In fact, in the history of NationalNet we have never raised anyone's rates including the four years of our price match promotions. I just don't want anyone to think that there is some sort of master plan to raise rates at the end of the 12 month period. We are just not that diabolical ;)

To clarify even further...I was interpreting your post as "will my price go down after 12 months". It never even occurred to me that you were asking if they would go UP because we've never raised anyone's rates in 11 years of doing business.

So...I hope that clears this up :)

Same here, I was going to put up a few servers there and check them out but a few months ago they had like 8-10 hours of downtime so i cancelled that whole idea.:Oh crap

well thanks for pissing all over tonys thread/offer

DDOS attacks can be a nightmare to manage, lets say you erase that 8-10 hours, how close is their uptime to 100% other than that?
