The doctor lost his license. The state is still investigating to see if there were criminal actions.

My skepticism had nothing to do with it being fox news, it had to do with the coverage being about the allegations in a lawsuit rather than what actually happened at the clinic.

In light of this new information, my opinion has changed.

BTW, I never heard back from you about that thing. Let me know what you want to do.

I'm still working on it. Have been pretty sick for the past couple weeks and haven't been able to get much "extra" finished.

NP.

Something is fishy about this whole thing IMO.

I hate to seem like a callous asshole because I'm personally pro-life....

BUT

This happened in July of 2006.
The FL dept of health didn't file an action until Feb of 2007.

The girl is filing a lawsuit NOW claiming that
Quote:

"she witnessed the murder of her daughter" and said she "sustained severe emotional distress, shock and psychic trauma which have resulted in discernible bodily injury."
when the whole purpose of her going to that clinic was for them to "kill her daughter".

The timing of all the events and the girl filing a lawsuit over this just smells funny to me, that's all. I have a feeling we're not getting the whole story. :2 cents:

"An autopsy determined Williams' baby ? she named her Shanice ? had filled her lungs with air, meaning she had been born alive, according to the Department of Health."

FACT: The baby was born alive. She was by ANY definition an actual human being with rights at that point.

FACT: 911 was not called.

You keep saying "FACT FACT" when if you read closely, all of those horrible things are followed with "the suit said"

Quote:

Staff at the clinic did not call 911 or seek medical assistance for Williams or the baby, the suit said.
Quote:

Two search warrants found nothing, but officers executing a third warrant "found the decomposing body of a baby in a cardboard box in a closet," the suit said.
Quote:

"The staff began screaming and pandemonium ensued. Sycloria watched in horror and shock as her baby writhed with her chest rising and falling as she breathed." A clinic co-owner entered the room and used a pair of shears to cut the baby's umbilical cord, the suit said.
This girl was 23 weeks pregnant and didn't know she was pregnant until she was being treated for "a fall".
I've got dollars to donuts that this girl was on something when this all went down...and the fact that she was coherent enough to "see the baby writhe with her chest rising and falling as she breathed" but not coherent enough to tell the staff not to put the baby in a plastic bag and seal it, or not to scream bloody murder or dial 911 isn't believable.

Doesn't pass the smell test.

I agree 100 percent. Something is not right about this story. Plus the mother filing a lawsuit claiming PTSD is pretty crazy. She wanted to have an abortion, which would be the murder of her child. I hope that she loses her lawsuit. :2 cents:

That is only because you are not readily familiar with the legal process. There is a method to the madness.

This is the type of insane that's hard to believe.

The only fishy part is the girl. Sounds like she decided that she made a bad decision and wanted to take it out on somebody. As fast as the government goes, I'm surprised they took action within six months.

Definitely something up with her.

My thinking is just that in the CNN version of the story, everything is followed by "the suit said"....basically that's their only source is the allegations in a lawsuit.

The Fox story kept referring to the "department of health" but never gave a name for the person at the dept or health or even that someone there gave them information on the condition of anonymity....and "if" the police had followed up on a tip and found a body decomposing in the closet 3 days later, where's the police report or the comment on the record from the police department?

My guess is that all the references to the "department of health" are really references to "the complaint filed (by the plaintiff) with the department of health"

For me to believe a story like this it's going to take more than just the story of the girl and her attorney.

I am on the fence with the abortion issue, but IMO once the baby reaches a viable age then it becomes murder.

This is why I don't buy the "health of the mother" arguments as an excuse for killing a baby late term. If there really is a health concern with the mother, fine, just get the baby out and hope it lives.

Yeah I was born at 20 weeks gestation, and am still alive and kicking, weighed a whooping
1 lb 10 oz , I personally think the abortion time limit should be reduced....

So your position is that the autopsy by the Department of Health and it's findings belong under "the suit said." ???

I'm inclined to believe the stuff she is saying. Regardless of your position on abortion, I think everyone would agree that it takes a very cold individual to kill a baby even if it is still unborn. The types of people who are cold enough to throw a botched abortion baby into the trash in the name of protecting what they do.
