Predictable and deceptive new show.

Yet another one bites the Dust...

His UK shows are really good, I much prefer them over the typical manufactured and over dramatized crap you get in America. I dont think its his fault they are so bad .. all the american versions of shows like biggest loser, survivor etc follow the same theme and are barely watchable and over directed. I wish ramsay would do another uk season of kitchen nightmares .. that was really good and not as manufactured.

I love both his shows. I think its just that they have more actual chefs this season but he tests them under pressure similiar to a drill sergeant does. Shows who has the stuff. Two of the best shows on TV.

Ramsey: Where did you get this dish idea?
Redneck: Its just a recipe I pulled out of my ass.
Ramsey: Well I suggest you stick it back up there.

-------------------------------------------------

Ramsey: It tastes like hydrogenated dog shit!
Ramsey: It looks like a dogs dinner!

-------------------------------------------------

Ramsey: Your dish is fucking crap. What do you do for a living?
Lady: I am a chef instructor?
Ramsey: You teach chefs?
Lady: Yes
Ramsey: Where did you train?
Lady: I don't have training
Ramsey: So you teach chefs to cook and you aren't even a chef? Fuck me. Get the fuck back in line.
Lady: I also teach manners.

His new show is like that because thats what Americans want. Its fake and contrived just like pretty much every American show. If there is an American reality TV show but it doesnt have enough drama then they fake it all and turn it into a completely scripted piece of shit.

Watch it every week. Tonight's made me laugh a few times especially at the older woman and her "think she's so great" attitude. But the UK version of the show is MUCH better. Personally though, I like his "kitchen Nightmares" show better.

that money didn't make him one of the worlds best chefs though did it? it just helped open some restaurants.

i like Kitchen Nightmares over any of his other shows. from what ive heard from a couple chef buddies their are certain chefs out there that are just as bad as him. super high egos. they believe it is a gift to get to work with them.

Is Kitchen Nightmares the one where he gives a dilapidated restaurant an overhaul? That's my fave GR show, the UK vers.

I remember several years ago he did a cooking feature promoting a particular type of apple, immediately afterwards he said to the camera that he just made 5000 quid and didn't even use their apples.

A very good buisness mind, how about his cooking ability?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Ramsay

Quote:
Gordon James Ramsay, OBE, (born 8 November 1966) is a chef, television personality and restaurateur. He has been awarded a total of 14 Michelin Stars, and in 2007 became one of only three chefs in the United Kingdom to hold three Michelin stars at one time. Ramsay currently ranks 3rd in the world in terms of Michelin Stars behind Joel Robuchon and Alain Ducasse.
I suppose her rich daddy also gave him the huge talent needed to achieve those things?

I like kitchen nightmares & the F Word on BBC America.
Especially when they killed the turkeys and lambs, have never seen how they slaughter animals before.
