Gordon Ramsey... Another guy who sold is soul.

Predictable and deceptive new show.

Yet another one bites the Dust...:Oh crap

hypedough 01-29-2009 07:50 PM

So what went down on Hell's Kitchen? I'm a west coaster.

Jman 01-29-2009 07:53 PM

It's just even more hollywood.

Spunky 01-29-2009 07:54 PM

Can't stand the guy, like he has the best food in the world and never fucked up when he was starting out.I wonder how many times somebody took a swing at the prick

SarahLLO 01-29-2009 07:56 PM

Jman 01-29-2009 07:58 PM

TV money, once you hit it your are SET!!!!

Sausage 01-29-2009 08:22 PM

His UK shows are really good, I much prefer them over the typical manufactured and over dramatized crap you get in America. I dont think its his fault they are so bad .. all the american versions of shows like biggest loser, survivor etc follow the same theme and are barely watchable and over directed. I wish ramsay would do another uk season of kitchen nightmares .. that was really good and not as manufactured.

notoldschool 01-29-2009 08:57 PM

I love both his shows. I think its just that they have more actual chefs this season but he tests them under pressure similiar to a drill sergeant does. Shows who has the stuff. Two of the best shows on TV.

LiveDose 01-29-2009 08:58 PM

I have it DVR'd. I fucking love his shows.

Sly 01-29-2009 09:00 PM

I like his shows. It would really be nice to try his food. He really is a very highly regarded chef, not just some celebrity.

Just Mike 01-29-2009 09:15 PM

you notice how the UK versions of his shows he is much softer with contestants especiall on the F word or Ramsays Kitchen nightmares.

babebuns 01-29-2009 09:20 PM

American versions of Ramsey's shows are just overdramaticised pieces of shit. Really.

GeoBeo 01-29-2009 10:06 PM

not just Ramsey's shows, its all shows in the US. I barely turn on my TV these days because of all the crap

F-U-Jimmy 01-29-2009 10:10 PM

Dont worry he will be gone soon. He just had a 60 million $ bail out to keep afloat. The bigger they are the harder they fall:helpme

Ramsey: Where did you get this dish idea?
Redneck: Its just a recipe I pulled out of my ass.
Ramsey: Well I suggest you stick it back up there.

-------------------------------------------------

Ramsey: It tastes like hydrogenated dog shit!
Ramsey: It looks like a dogs dinner!

-------------------------------------------------

Ramsey: Your dish is fucking crap. What do you do for a living?
Lady: I am a chef instructor?
Ramsey: You teach chefs?
Lady: Yes
Ramsey: Where did you train?
Lady: I don't have training
Ramsey: So you teach chefs to cook and you aren't even a chef? Fuck me. Get the fuck back in line.
Lady: I also teach manners.

His new show is like that because thats what Americans want. Its fake and contrived just like pretty much every American show. If there is an American reality TV show but it doesnt have enough drama then they fake it all and turn it into a completely scripted piece of shit.

I personally enjoyed every minute of it!

Gerco 01-30-2009 03:04 AM

Watch it every week. Tonight's made me laugh a few times especially at the older woman and her "think she's so great" attitude. But the UK version of the show is MUCH better. Personally though, I like his "kitchen Nightmares" show better.

V_RocKs 01-30-2009 05:54 AM

Goodbye faggot!

Never really liked the guy anyway just another guy who's married a rich wife whos daddy has very good contacts.
He has a very good business mind etc but still if it hadnt been for his wifes parents I doubt he'd be where he is now :2 cents:

that money didn't make him one of the worlds best chefs though did it? it just helped open some restaurants.

Maybe in a country club, but not around hardened criminals :winkwink:

MetaMan 01-30-2009 07:55 AM

i like Kitchen Nightmares over any of his other shows. from what ive heard from a couple chef buddies their are certain chefs out there that are just as bad as him. super high egos. they believe it is a gift to get to work with them.

Scott McD 01-30-2009 09:38 AM

I've always hated him. Chefs here seem to be made into major celebs now... :disgust

alexchechs 01-30-2009 09:52 AM

I like his other show better... sometimes he really comes off as caring about making a restaurant do well...

rowan 01-30-2009 11:03 AM

Is Kitchen Nightmares the one where he gives a dilapidated restaurant an overhaul? That's my fave GR show, the UK vers.

I remember several years ago he did a cooking feature promoting a particular type of apple, immediately afterwards he said to the camera that he just made 5000 quid and didn't even use their apples. :1orglaugh

BradM 01-30-2009 11:06 AM

I watch Kitchen Nightmares

tranza 01-30-2009 11:14 AM

A very good buisness mind, how about his cooking ability?

Quote:

Gordon James Ramsay, OBE, (born 8 November 1966) is a chef, television personality and restaurateur. He has been awarded a total of 14 Michelin Stars, and in 2007 became one of only three chefs in the United Kingdom to hold three Michelin stars at one time. Ramsay currently ranks 3rd in the world in terms of Michelin Stars behind Joel Robuchon and Alain Ducasse.
I suppose her rich daddy also gave him the huge talent needed to achieve those things?

james_clickmemedia 01-30-2009 11:26 AM

I like kitchen nightmares & the F Word on BBC America.
Especially when they killed the turkeys and lambs, have never seen how they slaughter animals before.

seeric 01-30-2009 11:30 AM

i like the kitchen knightmares bbc

anyhow, i got no problem with the shows. they're all good.

my tivo records anything with him in it.

guy is more driven and passionate about what he does than 99% of the people in this world.
