$825B Economic Stimulus Package

Why do they always make one humongous stupid plan and try to rush legislation? The sky will fall if everything isn't passed now! HURRRRRRY!!!

Why not allow time for them to read/study/analyze/critically judge/legislate all 600+ pages of the stimulus package?

For example - why not break it up into eight 100 billion dollar plans? With the first four plans ($400 billion) being projects that both the Republicans and Democrats agree too. And then remaining four plans ($400 billion) can be projects that they can fight over/split/and divide.

the thing about politics is if there are to many details about a plan there will always be people who don't like it and these economic packages will never get passed. if they just overwhelm taxpayers and congress with vague 1 million page packages with no accountability and then rush it through, well it gets passed. and if it doesn't get passed the first time they just re-word the damn thing and try to get it passed again.....keep re-wording and let people get tired of hearing about the damn thing and it will get passed sooner or later.

too many details equals too much debating and nothing getting done. yes, it is a fucked up world we live in.

Because then the sessions would last longer and they would have to divide down their pay by the weeks worked and it would be a lot less.

you will pay for this in the future as always (better say some smaller country you hit will pay for this)- but at least you do something to break the crisis which seems to be good to me

one simple word: fear

fear will stop people from questioning it: "If we dont do this the economy will collapse."

never once considering throwing money at the problem will NOT FIX IT.

end the fed
