11 months now that i havent smoked (just some pot now and then). I smoked a packet a day, my girlfriend quit a few weeks before i did, so i said i would also, and ive been smoke free from that day. The process is tough, stools going through soft walls and laptops broken on the kitchen floor, but i did it, its been 3 months more or less that i dont even get the feeling that i want to smoke, so i guess im done for good now.... BTW i smoked for 21 years. |

I just stopped 5 years ago, most important thing is that you really understand that it's killing you slowly, then stopping is easy... |

http://whyquit.com It's free and it works. My wife and I both quit after reading (almost) everything on this site. I didn't join their message board but my wife did. Education was my best weapon. I started reading that site over a year before I actually tried to quit, but it was very important to my decision and my method. I posted this earlier in the thread but I figured since it REALLY HELPED me, I'd reiterate. |

I used the over the counter Commit pills. Once you get past the need to physically step out side to have a smoke and stop carrying your lighter around, it's easy. I started smoking over Christmas and when I got back home I decided to quit again. I'm back on the pills. No bigger. |

I didn't quit but the cardio made be smoke less. Good luck |

After MANY failed attempts. I managed to quit by not having a drag at all. I was tempted to have "just a puff" many times, but I knew if I had that one drag, I'd lose the battle. Stay strong and do it one day, hour, minute or second at a time |
