Funny by the looks of the trailer it looked like a stinker, but reviews are stellar.

Clint is the man! Great acting and story. However, I did find it a little bit slow at times.

I enjoyed it, but damn, it was predictable. You knew how it was going to end within 2 minutes. I mean, do we really need another movie about a white person going to <insert neighborhood; school; prison; etc.> to teach minorities how to act and save the world LOL. Hollywood must have 10,000 screen plays with this type of plot.

Dave Chappelle should do a skit about a black guy going to a white neighborhood and teaching the poor white kids how to act (like his Real World sketch).

It was a good movie, likely one of Eastwood's best, but I think they went a little over board on dumbing the kid down.

I just saw Slumdog Millionaire as well and I'm not sure which was the better of the two..

yea, this looked just really stupid and cliche. Asian punk kids driving beat up Hondas with CF hoods. Did they stop there? or did they show the Asian kids at home eating rice with chopsticks and bowing to each other? What was the point of the movie? Eastwood still trying to prove hes tough enough to scare punk kids? Please. If that was LA gangs, he would have been shot in minutes haha

Agreed..Eastwood (his grunting was so stupid) seemed like he was walking through his lines, and most of the rest of cast were VERY WOODEN in their acting.

I had a tear in my eye...not because of the amazing story, but because of Clint Eastwood.I admit I was thinking only bad things about the period when we'll be too old...but this man(I wasn't a fan until now) this man makes me think that being old is not so bad if you know how to grow old. He should win an Oscar...again.

I enjoyed this one... one of Clint Eastwood's better ones but the kid who played Toad was pretty bad in some spots. Can't wait to see The Wrestler... not playing in my neck of the woods so have to make a trip to Toronto to see it.

Saw it when it came out and loved it. My only complaint is the acting of the brother and sister were very weak. I know that Clint had open casting calls for all the Hmong parts, which is cool, but for those two parts you needed to have some good actors. The brother did an ok job, but the sister was horrible at times.

BTW...That car was the shit, I wish some old dude would give me one. Bet that thing didn't have over 20,000 miles on it, the way he took care of it.
