Steve Awesome 01-11-2009 10:41 PM

Agreed. Saw it yesterday. Eastwood is the fucking man!

notoldschool 01-11-2009 10:42 PM

Funny by the looks of the trailer it looked like a stinker, but reviews are stellar.

GAMEFINEST 01-11-2009 10:57 PM

its off the hook

9,5 out of 10

JayDeeZee 01-11-2009 10:59 PM

Clint is the man! Great acting and story. However, I did find it a little bit slow at times.

Iron Fist 01-11-2009 11:00 PM

So will "Get Off My Lawn" be another famous tagline?

Guess you haven't seen The Wrestler or Revolutionary Road?

Lester Burnham 01-14-2009 12:08 AM

I enjoyed it, but damn, it was predictable. You knew how it was going to end within 2 minutes. I mean, do we really need another movie about a white person going to <insert neighborhood; school; prison; etc.> to teach minorities how to act and save the world LOL. Hollywood must have 10,000 screen plays with this type of plot.

Dave Chappelle should do a skit about a black guy going to a white neighborhood and teaching the poor white kids how to act (like his Real World sketch).

crockett 01-14-2009 12:15 AM

It was a good movie, likely one of Eastwood's best, but I think they went a little over board on dumbing the kid down.

I just saw Slumdog Millionaire as well and I'm not sure which was the better of the two..

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 01-14-2009 12:31 AM

Clint is da' man!!!

yea, this looked just really stupid and cliche. Asian punk kids driving beat up Hondas with CF hoods. Did they stop there? or did they show the Asian kids at home eating rice with chopsticks and bowing to each other? What was the point of the movie? Eastwood still trying to prove hes tough enough to scare punk kids? Please. If that was LA gangs, he would have been shot in minutes haha

Agreed..Eastwood (his grunting was so stupid) seemed like he was walking through his lines, and most of the rest of cast were VERY WOODEN in their acting.

John-ACWM 01-14-2009 01:01 AM

I had a tear in my eye...not because of the amazing story, but because of Clint Eastwood.I admit I was thinking only bad things about the period when we'll be too old...but this man(I wasn't a fan until now) this man makes me think that being old is not so bad if you know how to grow old. He should win an Oscar...again.

Holly 01-14-2009 07:24 AM

I can't wait.

I already have it on my Netflix wait list.

Haven't seen Revolutionary Road yet, but The Wrestler was a nice movie indeed :thumbsup

Suckerpunch 01-14-2009 09:18 AM

I enjoyed this one... one of Clint Eastwood's better ones but the kid who played Toad was pretty bad in some spots. Can't wait to see The Wrestler... not playing in my neck of the woods so have to make a trip to Toronto to see it.

justinsain 01-14-2009 09:33 AM

He said this will be the last movie he acts in.

Nice to see him get one last good one in before stepping aside with dignity.

F-U-Jimmy 01-14-2009 09:58 AM

I saw this last night, fucking first class entertainment. I give him two thumbs up :thumbsup:thumbsup

Eastwood is a class act

mrwilson 01-14-2009 10:01 AM

I watched it recently.
Very good film :thumbsup :thumbsup

fujiko 01-14-2009 11:30 AM

yep.. i really enjoyed it too

brassmonkey 01-14-2009 11:35 AM

its been a good ride sad to see him go but hes at the end of that road:( he made some good ass westerns

Horny Dude 01-14-2009 12:37 PM

Saw it when it came out and loved it. My only complaint is the acting of the brother and sister were very weak. I know that Clint had open casting calls for all the Hmong parts, which is cool, but for those two parts you needed to have some good actors. The brother did an ok job, but the sister was horrible at times.

BTW...That car was the shit, I wish some old dude would give me one. Bet that thing didn't have over 20,000 miles on it, the way he took care of it.
