Obama Scares me...

This came from another thread, but I thought it deserved it's own.

Is it just me? or is the WHOLE world expecting Obama to fix everything..

I mean really, I can mention any problem and someone will tout off, "Obama will fix that!", or "do you think Obama will fix that" or "Obama won't let that happen"

Look, I like the guy, his speeches are incredible, he's an eloquent speaker that's not arguable, he's the first black president which is kinda nice, but don't you think the whole damn world having so much faith in this man is a little dangerous?

I mean, watch any speech of any president over the years and they're all the same "Change" Obama is no different, just a better speaker than most.. especially after this monkey they have in office now..

Are we all really this stupid? Obama was running against a CORPSE and an IDIOT for fuck sakes...
Almost starting to seem like he was handed the presidents seat on a platter.

I don't know about you, but the amount of faith people are putting in this man is really starting to scare me.

How is he a moron

I worked on this man's campaign, and take great pride in being part of the reason Virginia went to the democrats for the first time since 1964.

I understand that he cannot fix everything, and there will be things that I will not agree with concerning his decisions.

But anything is better than what we had, and what we could've had with McCain.

He hasn't even taken office yet and we have already started to judge his presidency.

It will be interesting to see what happens, and we may all be surprised.

people are children - i am hearing the same kind of nonsense. Obama isn't The One, he isn't the Messiah, he's a man of average intellect, a good speaker, a little bit charismatic - he nor anybody can fix the shit we're in. He'll do what he can, what he should do is fucking go after every shady fuck who caused this to happen and charge them with whatever can be found on them and serve them up to the world.

and regulate the fuck out of the financial markets - it became a fucking game and no conservative can defend the chicanery that went on and ever again tell me that it's good for the economy.

Obama is Einstein compared to the biggest moron that is currently the lame-duck in office. Hope you're not one of the fags who couldn't see the forest for the trees in 2000 and 2004, that would be funny.

As was stated with the example of Bush after 9/11 Obama has said all the right things and is acting in all the right ways. The question is will he be able to follow through and will he make good decisions when he actually gets in the white house.

After 9/11 Bush said and did everything correctly. We had the world at our backs and they supported us when we went into Afghanistan to get rid of the Taliban and look for Bin Ladin. Then Bush allowed himself to get distracted with Iraq and started making very bad choices. It didn't take too long for him to squander all that good will he had.

Obama right now is the darling of the world. Many countries around the globe rejoiced at his election to the office. They are now waiting for him, but many are waiting for him like he is going to walk on water and start multiplying fish and bread. He is putting a good team together and he has some good ideas, now he has to follow through. I have faith in him that he will lead us down a good path, but as with any unknown quantity I am a little nervous. He wanted the job. We gave it to him. Now the ball is in his court. I just fear people have such high expectations that if he doesn't pull of a miracle right away they will start to turn on him.

Great post. He will do better than McCain and "What's her name?". We are in for some very tough times and the reaction by the car workers in Ford, GM and Chrysler show the depth of the problem. Do we let one of those companies go down to teach them a lesson or do we bail them out and let them sit like pigs in the trough?

Yes putting a few people who got us into this mess is an option. People have to be taught that the consequences are dire. Problem is where to start, Bush Chenney, Rumsfeld and a list of hundreds.

He is a puppet and is in place to enchant the people with his public speaking. I do not know how he claims to fix anything, just vaguely referring to change. But what change and how?

"Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future."

The man who uttered that wanted change too... Look what happened to him.

It is a fact, that those with the greatest chance of changing the problem, are usually erased from the equation.

Exactly what did you think when you inserted the word "monkey" in your diabtribe? It kinda reaks of racism, homeboy, quite frankly.

Obama got the mandate of the people that want change.

It's about the people ... NOT the leaders ... International Relations 101

Obama is an idiot for sure but he's duped millions into thinking he's capable of running the country...

That said he's still better than McCain. I think we ALL get fucked by this. Obama is better than McCain BUT that doesn't make him a good choice to run the country.

I agree! Obama will not fix everything! We won't even see a change probably in the 1st few years. People can't expect a miracle. He has a lot of cleaning up to do. Poor guy if you ask me because we are not done falling yet so he will get some blame too I think!

I don't get your point? If any president fails to live up to their promises and expectations they get turned on.

George bush mistaking Iraq for Afghanistan happened in his first term, but some people thought he deserved a second chance even though he never admitted making mistakes (wtf). It's not his fault that morons rocked the vote in 04.

Of course people were happy Obama won, their only other option was an old frail white guy and a scapegoat who'd try to wink her way out of an economic crisis.
Just let the man do his job and we'll let the chips fall where they may, just like we do in every presidency.

I thought I read somewhere that his IQ was 136... I could be wrong though.

Wow, you're already "scared" and condemning him for failure.
So he's doomed either way, your expectations are both way to high and way to low at the same time. How can he be expected to reach them?

The state of affairs is way beyond one man right now, no matter who he is. Just accept the decisions, the votes, the choices and hope he doesn't make things worse.

Instead you're all ready to forget and forgive 'W' and feed Obama to the wolves for what he may or may not accomplish.

And then you try to tell us what is and isn't right with the country?

Great work guys

I typed a bunch of crap here, but I deleted it ..

Let's see what Obama does with the country I guess..
Anyway, my post was more about fearing the whole world ready to jump on the obama wagon, than the man himself.. I Like Obama, he gives nice speeches

Yeah, the people who praise him as some kind of God (or is it Allah?) and think that he'll fix all that is wrong in the world are pretty delusional. Down right retarded really.

However, that causes me to fear them, not Obama. I fear Obama for the same reason I fear every politician.... he's a politician. I don't trust'em as far as I can throw them.

But at the same time... I won't put much faith in all that he can do nor in what he can't. I just hope it's not worse.

If you had been paying attention at all you would have noticed that he laid out detailed plans numerous times.

But a man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still.

So, I'm not going to waste my time explaining.

Obama is related to Cheney as well as the Queen of England. Most US Government goons have been Knighted... The royal bloodline is whitened out Israeli nomads who founded England after the fall of their beloved "Rome" which really still exists controlling the will of man to this day. The only thing Obama is and will ever be is a chocolate covered cracker. You will all see in 4 years what strides they take to limit freedom in his name, more reason for everyone to hate black people more.
