Each post will contain original content. On average 100-150 words per post. Nothing will be scraped. Obviously, I will have several people writing for this full time.

CSS templates for the blogs.

SEO optimization similar to the All in One SEO Pack plugin for Word Press.

Is there any out-of-box solution to manage this many blogs from a central location?

As far as posting goes you can use Livewriter. You can access all your blogs with one program and post to them pretty quickly.

As for links and all of things there are some things out there like blog organizer but I have never used it so I can't say if it is any good or not.

Not sure, but I get the impression WordPressDirect is supposed to do that if you use cPanel.

if you really want to manage 1000+ blogs with stats, adverticing and content (and want to save time doing it) then you should get a customcoded application

The money you will save, and the level of control you will get, is what will make it profitable

Yeah, I think this will need to be customized, but I want to get an idea what is out there before I make a final decision. We'll take a look at sitecore. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm only running about 60 blogs but running 1,000+ wouldn't be an issue (although I see no reason to EVER have that many).

I take it to the other extreme. Whenever I get the chance I mislead newbies and veterans alike. Anyone who ICQs or emails me about what I am doing gets a line of bullshit. If I can steer them in the wrong direction, I do.

I wont go as far as telling them bullshit. I usually just tell them straight up that if they want my advice, they need to pay me.

Giving away your knowledge for free, is the same as saying your skills are not worth money. If that is how you feel about yourself, you are not in a position to give advice to anyone in the first place.

I know it's an asshole thing to do but after years of idiots contacting me with the attitude that I somehow owe them some information on how I operate I got a little crazy.

Like suggested before you could use Blogs Organizer for your task but in my opinion Blogs Automater is better, you can sort your blogs via campains and so on and just have a better overview in my opinion...

I went through all the tutorials and this script sounds great, but unfortunately it doesn't support multiple users. If there was a way to add users and limit access rights (e.g. limit them to accessing specific blogs and only give them the ability to post.) you would already have made your affiliate commission

I use paid writers for some of my blogs organizer blogs. I set up a private wordpress installation and give the writers access to that. Then I use blogs organizer to pull the RSS feed from my private wordpress install and post to the appropriate blogs. It's a hack but it works well.

Remove Blogs and insert any other word there, you can spoon feed people and give them the keys to the castle and they still wont do anything because its too much work.

We give our ghostwriters a login and they get all the article info and keyword lists for each article thats needed to be written and they just insert the article into it and it posts it to the appropriate blog or website in the proper silo then automatically interlinks it with the other articles on the site.

They will be a mixture of Adult and Non-Adult niches and I figure it will take at least 6 to 9 months to scale up past 1,000. I'm not interested in setting the bar at < 100 blogs because bringing in, potentially, $3k to $5k a month just isn't worth my time.

I understand your point, but I do like helping those that are starting out and could not possibly afford to pay me what my time is worth. Unfortunately they seldom get off their ass and actually do something.

I've gone through the video tutorials for both projects. They seem like great scripts. It was pretty funny how the guy doing the demos accidentally named his first campaign "My Fist Campaign"
