Ideally one central location where we can add new sites/blogs, manage writer accounts, track internal metrics (e.g. writer post count, writer popularity, etc.), and make posts though I think that will obviously require a custom solution.
Another idea is to maybe use Word Press for everything. Have one of our techs "manually" setup each wordpress blog and install a custom plugin that will let our central server push posts to that specific wordpress blog. Then we could host the blogs with a variety of hosts...

Yeah, I think this will need to be customized, but I want to get an idea what is out there before I make a final decision. We'll take a look at sitecore. Thanks for the suggestion.
