my girlfriend wants to get me a watch for the holidays and wants me to approve 1 that she likes... dont know much of these brands... take a look... they both look good to me too.

if you know your watches and have any info on these watches, i would greatly appreciate it. Can not really find any professional reviews of them that go into detail.

I see that Timex owns TX and this is their jump into a more premium entry level watch.

both look ugly as hell but not many people have class on GFY and just go for whatever seems pricey. so both may work for you, depends on the type of person you are.

If you are going to buy that style/price range of watch, I would go with an invicta instead... some of them are garish, but there are some nice looking ones.... better looking than these for the money IMHO.

thanks, i have 2 invictas so she doesnt want to get me that brand. unfortunately, she is insisting that she dictates what she likes and i can approve or veto her choice. she is looking to spend between $500 and $999....

the new Movados are nice. saw them last week at the jewelery store. but out of her price range.

we are heading to Nordstroms 2nite after dinner so hopefully they have some good ones that are not listed on their site...

Unfortunately I got to the point where it now usually takes silly money to get watches that I want... (not always, sometimes I find cool watches for cheap), but mostly.

It's like an old junkie that needs a really huge amount in order to get high.... sad really

You can sometimes get a good deal on Elini's btw...

got that brand all over promoted here in holland, its expensive for a crappy watch

the 2nd looks a bit like a breitling, if you like that style and dont wanna spend 5k try to get a nice 2nd hand or go for a cheaper like invicta, seiko, citizen etc, dont spend a few 100 on a fashion watch thats gonna go bad in a few months
