OK... so I am going to take the jump... Which is the best MacBook Pro for video work?

I need a hoss to churn out video while I'm on the road. Which is the mac daddy to get?

the most expensive one.. hehe it's simple like that.

Video editing is all about raw CPU power if I'm not mistaken, so I'd say the MBP with the optional 2.8 CPU then upgrade the HD to one of the 7200 RPM ones.

I got a macpro quote up to around 45k, and I think I still could've squeezed some extra power out of it...

Figure out your budget and up options in this order for performance.

CPU
RAM
HDS(Raid Pref to cut down render times)
Vid Cards
Offboard Renderers
