if anything that would be obscene or something like that, but i dont think they should be using the same laws that protect kids to protect cartoons or it makes those laws look dumb

That begs the question if you met a woman who is say 35 but has a disease that not only makes he the size of a child, but makes her look like say a 13 year old. Actually it would probably be parody and not copyright infringement. If he used the Simpson's name, probably trademark infringement though.

On the original subject, this case makes the US courts look downright liberal -- until you hear about the teenage girl being prosecuted for CP for taking naked cell phone pics of herself and sharing it with her friends. If she would have just flashed them, she would probably be okay.
