those charges should be for people who are actually hurting kids, not some dude drawing bart banging lisa

if anything that would be obscene or something like that, but i dont think they should be using the same laws that protect kids to protect cartoons or it makes those laws look dumb

Just be glad it was in a sane country where judges dont have huge egos because in the US he would have got more time than a convicted rapist.

I wonder so if an atrist draws a cartoon character killing another cartoon character can he be charged with murder? I mean since cartoons are people and all.

That begs the question if you met a woman who is say 35 but has a disease that not only makes he the size of a child, but makes her look like say a 13 year old. Are you a pedo even if you know her real age? If so then she can never be with anyone except 13 year olds, which ironically would make her the pedo.

Actually it would probably be parody and not copyright infringement. If he used the Simpson's name, probably trademark infringement though.

On the original subject, this case makes the US courts look downright liberal -- until you hear about the teenage girl being prosecuted for CP for taking naked cell phone pics of herself and sharing it with her friends. If she would have just flashed them, she would probably be okay.
