Try darker colors vs lighter colors

dont wear tight stuff around the waist, idel is to find something that might be slightly fitted on top then lose on bottom

dark colored suits, with same color pants and jackets. That will elongate your figure and make you look not only taller but also leaner.
Stay away from jewelry (no bling bling at all, sorry!) as it lends to the pimp look, which is associated with chubby guys. No hats either, unless it's a golf style cap, which is associated with rich golf players and boaters, therefore, classy, tall, handsome. Not kidding, it's a real association.

I agree, i think your wife should help with your diet and get you down brad...that should be your new years resolution.

But while ur doing that i'd suggest DARK colors like someone suggested.. Maybe a Jacket (leather?) throw a hoodie under. or a dress shirt (Dark maybe black) then some type of dark demin/pants.. those layers will blend out the weight.
