The clips.com provider admin and ftp area have been closed due to a hardware failure which forced us to restore the site from backup. This time consuming process has finally been completed.

The admin area and ftp server are now back in operation.

Some things that you may notice once you login:

1. Some clips that were live may not be enabled and active. It is possible that one or more of the files associated with these clips were not restored. We do not anticipate that there will be many of these, but there may be some. You will notice a new status type for these clips. I will be sending lists of missing files to any provider that this effects.

You will only need to re-upload those files and send me an email. It will not be necessary to edit the clip records or delete any files using file management. Once the file is replaced, I can enable it again.

Please wait until you have received an email from me with a listing of missing files before doing anything.

2. You may notice that files that you uploaded in October are missing. It is possible that some files uploaded in October and not yet assigned to clip records were not able to be restored. Unfortunately, I will not be able to send lists of these missing files because we have no record of their existence.

3. Upload speeds may be slower than normal. We expect that many of our providers will be attempting to upload to their accounts at the same time over the next several days. This may cause uploads to be sluggish.

I?m certain that you are all ready to get going again. If you have a large amount of files that you need to upload to your account and have limited upload bandwidth, you may want to consider sending your content to me on an external HD, on disk, jump drive etc. Please contact me directly to make arrangements.

I will be happy to add your content to your ftp account for you. This may be able to help save time and get you rolling a little bit faster.

If you notice any oddities when you get started, please let me know by email, icq, or phone. My contact info will be listed below.

We understand that this has caused a hardship for many of our providers, and I appreciate your patience over the past several weeks.

We are already working on solutions to keep this from happening again. Many new features are planned for the admin area. I will keep you all informed as new procedures and applications are implemented.

New Providers

If you have not gotten a chance to get started yet, you can now login to the admin. If I have received a contract from you recently, you can expect an email from me with detailed instructions to help you get going. I will try to get these emails out today.
