my rant on the adult numbers game

well im feeling sick...

nothin in the bio 2day - can't eat cuz of my swallowed throat (no dirty ideas now!)

and I was thinking...

as most webmasters im a statswhore who check stats both website and sponsor stats.

unique visitors, where the traffic is from... how many sales I will make if I double the traffic etc.

I can use an hour easily daily on that.

So I descieded to compare my gambling site with my adult sponsors.

and it amazes me. My gambling site still converts at 1-30 on banner clicks.

now I take a look at my adult banner stats today and 600 clicks to sponor and zero sales...

This just blows my mind cuz the gambling site I have promoted heavily since 1999 but no slowing downŽin sales...

Now the adultsite in question is fairly new and looks good.

Well im still to come to a conclusion cuz its bannerclicks - quality traffic then why the hell such a big difference on adult/gambling.

Done same comparison on several adultsponsors and the pattern is always the same.....

why won't you post the gambling site you promote?
what's the big secret?

anybody who gambles online should be put in a fucking mental hospital.

most adult sites don't even promote casinos anymore because the experience has always been so bad.

Are there good casino sponsors now? i have a sports site that will be up soon, well when the Indian i hired gets finished programming it, i'd love for their to be a good casion/sportsbook sponsor.

www.roulettebucks.com

I have a casino sponsor www.lasseters.com.au/

today I have had 274 clicks and 27 signups....

its a big difference from my 0-600 today on the adultsponsor

my opinion: women make a big difference
A woman will take out the CC in 2sec if she finds something that looks interesting.
Also gambling converts much better. Someone that clicks on the link saying "casino" most of the time is looking for a casino to play and not to jurk off and go. There is no such thing as free gambling(that's an oxymoron) - either you play or you don't, no other option there.
That's why you see in some PPC search engines bids up to 30$ for casinos and 30c for sex

cool. thanks for posting.

ok you have had a bunch of signups at the casino. what is the payout? is it a flat rate per signup or is it a commission calculated on the net profit the casino makes on the surfer who signed up from your link?

it's an AU casino? i didnt even know they were legal in Australia.
I would have thought ScottPB and Dean from SexHit would be all over an opportunity in online gambling.

yup it says it's licensed by the Aussie government.

what is the average commission you've been getting from a signup? in US dollars.

It is much harder to get traffic to a gambling site (sorry no tgp here...). Also expensive if you need to buy some.
On the other hand you don't need to update, no huge hosting bills, no cheaters giving pswds to your members area and stealing your content etc. so you can focus 100% on promoting.

I've been doing porn and gambling for almost 3 years now. I love both industries. There are bad people everywhere and for sure you will need to be carefull. Find a solid casino sponsor and build some traffic. Trust me all you need is 3-4 good players that will spend 10K each, every week in your casino. Then you can do more and more stuff.

but the question is are you guys getting checks regularly from these casinos?

you said you have signups who go on to spend 10,000 at the casino. How much of that goes to you? Let's say the lady signs up and she gambles 10,000 bucks, loses half of it. The commission is 40% of 5,000 net profit to the casion. That's 2 grand. Are you getting those kind of checks?

Yes you will get these checks. I said before: there are bad companies in every industry. Carefully select your sponsors and you will get paid on time-every time. Exactly like porn

Vegas, say I wanna start a new site about online gambling, could I resell your eBook to start of the gambling site?

I'm going to promote some gambling sites I signed up with last year, but as most of my traffic comes from sites where people are looking for 'free' things, I doubt I will find $2k players there. The basic rule is you must have at least some traffic of people interested in gambling or other things that COST money. Not free stuff.
