sweet! actually got re-included in google

Didnt really think it was possible.... One of my domains was banned from google which was totally my fault.... basically got lazy and crosslinked way to many pages.

Anyways, after like 8 emails to help @ google.com I finally got re-included for the next index after the initially said no.

My first email was sort of vague and they replied
Quote:
Your page has been blocked from our index because it does not meet the
quality standards necessary to assign accurate PageRank. We cannot comment
on the individual reasons your page was removed. However, certain actions
such as cloaking, writing text in such a way that it can be seen by search
engines but not by users, or setting up pages/links with the sole purpose
of fooling search engines may result in permanent removal from our index.
So I basically replied telling them exactly what I did wrong and how I know its bad and they let me back in.

Honesty is the best policy!

Glad it worked out. How well were your sites placed before they caught on about the crosslinking and banned you?
Do you know how they found out? I heard they don't actively search out sub-quality links but depend more on people notifying them of "cheating" sites. (which is most of the time your competitor)

How well are you placed now since the lifted the ban?
