ok so this might be a stupid question but....

I just got the itouch and it's like the iphone where you can't replace the battery. Now as we all know with cell phones.... after you charge the battery x number of times... it doesn't hold a charge as long and becomes useless.

WTF happens a year down the road if it can't hold a charge more then half a day? Toss it and buy a new one? At least with most cell phones you can change the battery.

I got one too a while ago and I never thought about the battery dying. I just assumed it used some sort of NASA technology.

I'm trying to figure out how to get my DVD's onto it.

Do you know how?

That is why Best Buy offers you that service plan for the battery. You CAN get one, but it's supposedly not available for Apple stuff. Like my iPod.

However, I found kits online and batteries to resolve the issue.

Tada.

This post is useless without links

Hook it up brotha

p.s. screw best buy and their service plan... I'm not going to pay twice what the item is worth to do something I could do for less

I saw the new Circuit City flyer... they want to charge you something like 230 bucks to setup your network at home which comes with software.

Are you kidding me.... 20 bucks worth of software and 15 minutes doesn't equal 230 bucks. I don't care if you don't know a lot about computers... google is your friend and you can do it for less

Um Apple expects you to either

A) Send it in and they'll replace the battery at an outrageous fee

B) Buy a new Itouch.

Just another reason to hate Apple products. This is the ONLY reason Apple actually make money. First they get suckers to overpay for products then convinces them to upgrade to the newest line of said products continuously.
