Does this statement even hold weight now?
"the man is holding us back" - will people still be able to cling to this now? Now one held Barack Obama back and he made his way to the presidency. I think this is a turning point in responsibility and expectations of minorities in this country. As Shelby Steele has said 'its time to come in off the plantation, America gives blacks more opportunity than anywhere else on earth" No one is HOLDING YOU BACK now brothers. We are even Steven now.
