-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Visitors,

Since Wednesday, 17th of July 2002, we encountered a problem with someone (we do not know who), that sent spam over the net in our name.

We would like to mention that we DID NOT sent any spam and we DO NOT use any program/application for this and we DID NOT pay anyone to market our services in any way. There is another "person" (which has nothing to do with us) that sent this spam.

We HATE spam and we apologize for the inconvenience but we repeat: WE DID NOT SENT THOSE EMAILS AND WE DO NOT KNOW WHO DID IT. We sent messages to all the people that replied to the spam and we apologized to each one regarding the spam but it is not our fault.

Also, we asked anyone if they can help us in order to STOP this. Some of them told us that the spam is coming from Asian networks (64.77.61.19) and one in California (203.199.64.132).Do you have any suggestions on how we may stop this? Can you help us?

Warm regards,

TemplateStyles.com Crew

I've been getting these, too. Here's the interesting thing, though. Before I started getting these ones, I kept getting spam from "templatestyles.com" signed by the same person (Aby). At the address in the spam, there is a disclaimer saying "We are not sending the emails" and they have a link to information about tracking down spam. On templatestyles.com, there is no disclaimer.

A quick whois shows Tamplatestyles to be registered with bullshit information and with nameservers at xxxnameservers.com. An obvious scam setup.

A whois on templator.net shows what appears to be real information and nameservers at rackshack.

I think it's entirely possible that the disclaimer on templator.net is telling the truth. Either that, or he owns both and figures either his spam will work or it will drive people to his other site. I sort of doubt that, though. Seems a bit risky.
