Yeah, what the hell. Pot isn't my favourite thing, but neither is alcohol. Misuse of the legal one of the pair is a hell of a lot more dangerous and destructive. Maybe if they legalize weed, they can go after more serious crimes. I just hope they keep an eye on misuse.

my prediction when this was first put on the ballot: 45-55 fail
now, I figure 35-65 fail, if it even gets 35% of the vote....

the scarier inititive is the "what is the legal definition of marriage" initiative....basically a way for the Mormons to kick the gays in the balls regarding same sex unions (for benefits, hospital visitation,eetc.)....Mormons tend to vote more than gays do, so this will pass...

I'm soooo glad I was excommunicated from the Mormon church 17 years ago.......

I live in Nevada and I say the odds are less than 50/50. It's a start but I seriously doubt people are ready for pot legalization yet. I saw some good commercials on TV encouraging people to vote yes on Prop 9, not because they want people to be able to smoke in their homes but to allow law enforcement to worry about more important stuff, which might make sense to a lot of people. I think most people don't see pot as a harmful drug, but as far as legalizing it for anyone, that's taking it pretty far! I seriously hope it does cuz it's long overdue but I think it will take a few more tries and a lot of public education before something like that passes.....part of the problem is that a lot of potheads are too lazy to go out and vote, half of them probably don't even realize it's on the ballot!

How come a group of men, calling themselves "the government" are as a collective, able to determine what is right and what is wrong for YOUR body. I've smoked weed in the post - i didnt like it, it gave a huge headache everytime I smoked it. My friends were telling me that I would get used to it, Like hell
