New ePass feature: Withdraw to Credit/Debit Card

Apparently you can now load a none ePass credit/debit card from your ePass acct.

I was excited to read about that. The fee is 1% of transaction (5USD minimum fee) however.

Still, easier than walking to the ATM, withdrawing cash, putting cash in envelope, then putting cash back in the machine. Yeehaw.

So from a regular credit card (say a Visa), I can add credit to the credit card from an epassporte account, is that what you're saying?

Does the epass and visa account names have to match or can it be used to credit other peoples credit cards?

I don't understand how it works if that debit card is connected to a US Bank. Wouldn't that mean it's transferring funds to your US Bank Account?

Usualy i wont belive this since it sound strange withdrawing money to debit/credit card(since card is maden for paying not for receiving money)but i noticed this already on betting sites. If you deposit money there using visa card, you get withdraw if you earn money to same that visa card and there is no other way.Well i must say this is very good feature, especialy in case if you want to bet and you have funds on epass but you do have debit or credit card which support betting.

Paypal used to do this back in the day. the credit card companies didn't like it though so they made em stop. it works the same way as when you return something back to best buy and they credit your card.

It seemed cool at first but I can't think of a use for it since I always just withdraw to my bank account and then spend from there with my bank-issued debit card. Especially since it takes 2-3 business days to hit my bank account, and the new option for transferring to a credit/debit card takes 5 days according to the epass website. Also the fee is lower if you transfer to a bank account.

The name on the card and the account needs to be the same.

Is there a limit as to how much you can withdraw? Not that I am gonna withdraw much at the moment but good to know for future things.

The default limit is $300 or $500 per day depending on your account type.
Limits can be reviewed on the Account Balance page.
The limit can be raised depending on your account balance.

Weird... On my merchant account, I can only refund if a transaction already took place and for no more $$$ then the original amount.

Name and address listed on your account should be the correct info, but you can decide yourself what you want written on the Electron card.

Yes to be able to withdraw to a credit card you need to have a verified credit card on your account.

BIIIIIG thanks to ePassporte for adding this awesome feature. I'm sure all the other European ePass account holders will be as happy as I am. Even if it's not of real use for US customers, for EU citizens it means that we can stop running to the ATM all the time and directly transfer the money to our bank accounts through an existing CC.

And as this isn't said too often in this forum: for ePassporte

Well, epassporte is good thingy, but they still have painfull hole in system:support.I realy dont understood why they dont hire more people for icq support beside Michael O.If they cant afford that they can hire someone from india(after all they already use them for telephone support)so i dont see why is that such a problem.Especialy problematic is their support for bussiness account which caused many sponsors to drop them plus some people was not able to open bussiness account at all beacuse of lack of support. But again later that was good beacuse i realized i realy dont need bussiness epassporte account.

I can't even get my fucking epassporte account taken off some dumbass account security status...I've had to fax bank statements, IDs, etc. over and over and over again, and have to wait forever for any sort of reply about the status...nothing like faxing something, waiting the 7-10business days for them to come back and say they need something else or something I still wrong...

What will the transaction show to the bank as, ie. a wire, deposit, etc from you or epassporte? I ask because of taxation.

Also, what about that mickey thing on electron card. That didn't work for me. How to make it happen? I was told it's not possible when i asked why it failed.
