New ePass feature: Withdraw to Credit/Debit Card
Apparently you can now load a none ePass credit/debit card from your ePass acct.
|
I was excited to read about that. The fee is 1% of transaction (5USD minimum fee) however.
Still, easier than walking to the ATM, withdrawing cash, putting cash in envelope, then putting cash back in the machine. Yeehaw. |
So from a regular credit card (say a Visa), I can add credit to the credit card from an epassporte account, is that what you're saying?
Does the epass and visa account names have to match or can it be used to credit other peoples credit cards? WG |
I don't understand how it works if that debit card is connected to a US Bank. Wouldn't that mean it's transferring funds to your US Bank Account?
|
Usualy i wont belive this since it sound strange withdrawing money to debit/credit card(since card is maden for paying not for receiving money)but i noticed this already on betting sites. If you deposit money there using visa card, you get withdraw if you earn money to same that visa card and there is no other way.Well i must say this is very good feature, especialy in case if you want to bet and you have funds on epass but you do have debit or credit card which support betting.
|
Paypal used to do this back in the day. the credit card companies didn't like it though so they made em stop. it works the same way as when you return something back to best buy and they credit your card.
|
It seemed cool at first but I can't think of a use for it since I always just withdraw to my bank account and then spend from there with my bank-issued debit card. Especially since it takes 2-3 business days to hit my bank account, and the new option for transferring to a credit/debit card takes 5 days according to the epass website. Also the fee is lower if you transfer to a bank account.

This is good news for those who don't have an US account to withdraw to though.

Limits can be reviewed on the Account Balance page. The limit can be raised depending on your account balance. |
Question is can we trust epass with a CC tied to our bank account.

BIIIIIG thanks to ePassporte for adding this awesome feature. I'm sure all the other European ePass account holders will be as happy as I am. Even if it's not of real use for US customers, for EU citizens it means that we can stop running to the ATM all the time and directly transfer the money to our bank accounts through an existing CC.
And as this isn't said too often in this forum: :thumbsup for ePassporte :1orglaugh |
How does this feature show up on the bank account as btw?

I can't even get my fucking epassporte account taken off some dumbass account security status...I've had to fax bank statements, IDs, etc. over and over and over again, and have to wait forever for any sort of reply about the status...nothing like faxing something, waiting the 7-10business days for them to come back and say they need something else or something I still wrong...

Too bad it's Visa only. I use my MC debit card for everything.

What will the transaction show to the bank as, ie. a wire, deposit, etc from you or epassporte? I ask because of taxation. Also, what about that mickey thing on electron card. That didn't work for me. How to make it happen? I was told it's not possible when i asked why it failed. |
Nice feature, ePassporte rocks! :thumbsup
