Canon camera....40D VS 50D ...opinions?

I am looking to invest in a new camera as mine started giving me trouble towards the end of a shoot last week. It's time to get her repaired, but in the mean time, I am in the market for one of the 2 bodies mentioned and wanted to get some feedback form those who have shot with either one.
Which do you prefer between the 2 camera bodies' and why?

Thanks for the tips

Here's a side-by-side review of the Canon50D versus Canon 40D. Most notable is the higher resolution LCD, 50% jump in megapixels, and higher ISO capability (remains to be seen how noisy that will be) ... but a number of other nice improvements that should make this one heck of a DSLR

Thanks for the link......;)

I probably should have asked if anyone had any Pro's or Con's that they experienced with either cameras.

I know someone that had a 40D and right out of the box, it had some internal error or something like that and he had to take it back....mind you, this is when his present 40D ended up with an error during a shoot and could not be corrected, so he rushed out to buy another body to replace it.

I have the 40d its a great camera, was thinking of upgrading. I read a review and there isnt a big enough difference to make it worth to upgrade from the 40d to the 50d. The money would be better spent on lens.

OK, thanks for the in put. I have only heard one complaint about the 40D, so it appears to be a good body and I can always use a new lens or two ;)

I will have to check with him to clarify this. He never complained once he got things worked out.
