None. Absolutely none. I used to be scared by even the dumbest scary movies when I was a kid and refused to sleep in my own bed after watching Nightmare on Elm Street, but at some point, it all just went away. A loud boom might make me jump if I'm not expecting it, and I don't watch slashers because I get sick at my stomach with the blood and guts stuff, but as far as being scared, it just doesn't happen.

Fuck that. You think the youth of today reads? Write it in a brief story...perhaps even a rough script, then either film the fucker yourself, pitch it to a studio, or find an independent filmmaker to shoot the bitch. You'll reach a broader market that way rather than trying to get people to read a book.

That and Devils Rejects are great

You can really see Rob Zombies skills coming together in Halloween.

The Entity freaked me out when I first saw it.

Another minor one for me is "Trilogy of Terror". Remember the little Zuni doll?

He who kills...
https://youtube.com/watch?v=IU572Zqef80

It's a little disturbing even now.

Poltergeist still gets me if I'm watching it alone at night...such a great movie with amazing special effects and a soundtrack that is just fucking incredible.

My definition of horror involves more of a "chilling story" and less gore (silent hill is an exception) .... I don't really get why people vote for "the bride of Frankenstein" or "Jaws" or "King Kong" as horror movies (not kidding see this > http://www.imdb.com/chart/horror ) .. honestly I could laugh through those movies and end up disappointed.

U know a good horror story was indeed "good" if you ..at some point.. after watching the movie feel frightened when turning the lights off and such...

Also, horror movies that involve serial killers do nothing for me either... flesh and blood you can kill and effectively fight against..... demons and spirits is a totally different story, this last one is a lot heavier on people's minds ....

Horror movies that are based on true stories are also a big plus ... as far as my preferences...

Now Without further ado....my list:

Silent Hill
<< One of the best Horror movies evur (Turn the lights and grab something to pee on...use diaper if needed...lol)

Death of a Ghost Hunter >> Freaky Religious movie

Unholy Women << Human Spirits are not as frightening as demons

Dark Water >> Jap Version is a lot better (and scarier) than the American remake.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose >> Pretty good

The Blair Witch Project << take it for what it is... a really good amateurish "movie"

Trilogy of Terror >> Honoring the freaky lil warrior on my sig (zuni fetish warrior that is)

Bless the Child << Entertaining cute lil horror movie

The Ring/Ringu/Grudge >> Decent J-Horror

An American Haunting << Niiice

The Exorcist/Omen/Freddy Krueger/Hellraiser >> Were scary back when I had 8-13 years of age ....

Constantine << Fun to watch... not really scary.....

Sleepy Hollow >> Pretty Funny

The Eye << Japanese Version .... the American remake is not scary

.......I know for a fact that there are 3-5 good horror movies that I am forgetting about....these are the ones I remember off the top of my head ...

Honestly, no movie scares me. Watching people eat shit doesn't scare me either. Nothing scares me except if it affects me personally, then I'm scared, but I can watch people getting their heads chopped off or having their guts eaten while alive by zombies or having their eyeballs squeezed out until they pop by a monster etc. It doesn't scare me. If I had to get a shot at the dr's I would be scared but I can watch other people get bloodied and cut up. I am only scared for myself and my own pain. I don't get scared if others are, I just dont care.

Yea... and when there is a sad part in a movie like if someone is dying or if someone is in pain etc just a part where most people seem to sympathize for the character or others even start crying, for some reason I just laugh out loud... It's an inappropriate response but I can't help it, I always find it funny for some reason. I hope it doesn't mean I'm a psycho...

I also don't understand why people are afraid of ghost movies. I don't believe in ghost. I believe I could be shot by someone or robbed and stabbed to death; I am afraid of things that could possibly happen in real life, who the fuck is scared of ghosts? I really don't get it.

Exorcist movie is not scary. It's funny and lame. What is so scary about someone who is possessed and whose head spins around? Maybe it's scary if you are 6 years old but anyone over the age of 13 is weird if that scares them.

And who the hell is scared of zombies? Everyone knows that's fake.

I am not scared of horror movies. I am scared of getting in a car accident when I go on the fwy and burning to death or drying in a gruesome accident. I'm scared of being robbed and murdered.

Horror movies don't scare me at all.

Salem's lot still creeps me out. The dead kid floating at his brothers window trying to get him to open it...scary.

If were talking about a single scene however the scene that sticks with me as horrendous out of any movie and this one isn't even a horror flick is the rape/murder scene from "dead man walking" with Sean Penn. Where the old guy is raping the girl while her boyfriend is forced to watch, then he just takes out a fucking pocket knife and starts stabbing her stomach, and they shoot the boyfriend in the head after he watches her die.
