soft 16, there are alot of times when it is a great move

hard 16, at a normal table would never double down on it even with card counting, UNLESS it was in a bj tournament and the situation was correct, then it might be the only smart thing to do

soft it is still more often than not a bad move, but there are many situations where it is a good move
