This is clueless. The #1 issue facing indie musicians today is the commodification of music after the advent of free mp3s. That a few big stars that have ALREADY benefitted from record company exposure can pull a Radiohead or NIN is the strawman. Your indie artist now has to give their product away to try and cut through the wall of shit from a billion other basement tards all giving their shit away and no one with any kind of money for recording and promotion to actually stand out.
