What's the BEST program to use to make Video Clips?
 What program do you to make video clips? I am trying to find the best program to use to make mpeg clips and get them to be the best quality and that will also compress them down to a suitable size. The clips we use are usually 1-2 minutes in time. What program do you think we should use? People have told me ulead video or pinnacle.. Is there something that is better and easy to use. Thanks for the help! And I have already fucked myself twice today so no need to worry! GrimShawn |

Sonic Foundry Vegas 3.0 is the best for this type of work. Very low learning curve as well.
If you are going the no frills route, Virtual Dub works great. Very small program and simple to use.

Couldn't agree more...
Sonic Foundry's Vegas Video 3.0 or their inexpensive Video Factory is the best i've used. Check out one of the free clips on my site below if you like. |

to encode from uncompressed dv to mpeg1 -> Cleaner 5 coupled with the Mpeg Charger plugin.
pretty expensive though. it's not an editor, it's used for encoding only. the very best
