Im my opinion, templates are great, I have nothing against them. But you can do so much more custom work with raw code.

Well, thats not it. To install TEVS you need the license ID. So your clients needs to login and send you those details anyway, why not send you the file too?
Also, from what I read in that thread you posted. He's not hired you YET. He was asking you to contact me regarding TEVS. |

Jon, why didnt you just log into the TEVs client area and download the script? Your client could have given you that info. You wouldn't have to install tevs to gain access to the files needed to make a new template and you could then have them on hand if needed for future clients.

One, if you uberhaupt had a client, he would be able to show you a account where he has his TEVS installed, it is easy to copy the HTML files from there, rename them to Index2, menu2, etc etc and build a mirror on his website where you could experiment with the code. I did it on this way and do not need a ego master like the Jesus crisse John clark. What zorg said was pretty fair. You finally have your first client, and rush to GFY and make a drama thread. You fail in my eyes big time cause you have not the creativity to work on this. You did not need anyone to do what your client needs. You could have done it all on his server if you client had a TEVS installed. But you lack in experience, and you have to much keyboard warrior hormones in your " i have no clue who you are " ass..... Seriously, people trusting you? Those people make huge mistakes :) You already go flatface in this thread, your experience is zero, and your mouth is 3 sizes to big. You started this thread to piss off someone, and you started this thread for self commercial. Looser in my book. I have 3 TEVS licensies running, and did all the design and moderation of the code on the server while TEVS was running by making a mirror as described above. Index2, Menu2, and making a config2.php file etc etc God Fucking Crissss. your a amateur. I can do all your clients in 1 day, and make them more then happy. You irritated me with this thread. |

wow. so jon clark is mad because a guy wont hand over parts of his paid script for a guy who isnt even a client of his. zorgmans job is to sell a script, not make sure every half ass designer in the world gets a free copy. he is simply protecting his product and his livelihood as any good software developer would.
let this also be a lesson for those who choose to work with jon clark. any small issue and he takes it to the boards. he is more interested in page views than being a business guy. work with him and you deserve what you get. |
