i'm really going to miss these Olympics when they're gone ....
like a fucking toothache!
get rid of them, use the billion dollars to do something usefull i gave them a shot, Phelps was memorable - that's it take the juiced Jamaicans, the underaged abused little Chinese gymnasts and every Canadian who finished 10th in a field of 10 and Bob Costas outta here!

Arnt all gymnasts abused? I thought that was part of the training.
Then hell most people who want to compete at that level in anything go through some serious abuse self inflicted or by coaches regardless. I personally do not care much about the Olympics at all. Sure I may watch something here and there. Do I care that they may spend a billion or even ten billion plus on holding them? Nah not really. I am sure there is some lasting effects for the host cities/countries, and it is better than just about anything else money is spent on when I am not given a say so on how it is spent.
