I don't see what the problem is? Unless he is full of shit and has none of what you stated and is in debt to his ears.. I don't see how he would not be able to pay you back.

I was simply asking if others would give a decent sized loan to their business partner, even if not really on the friend level, and he has a lot of assets to back it up. Even though he is cash strapped (apparently?).
