I love that one too.

The #1 movie in America was called "Ass." And that's what it was. For 90 minutes. It won four Oscars that year, including best screenplay.

The scariest thing is that it's more of a reality in 5 years, not 500.

There's some great small things if you rewatch it though, stuff like how the prisoners all wear orange crocs

That's so weird.... I actually have that movie in my pile of movies to rewatch myself. I loved it the first time around, and I'm sure it's going to be just as good the second time. One of the best cult classics ever.

Fox basically gave up on marketing it before it even came out because they didn't know how to do it for the american people....... Which falls right into place with the movie anyway.

Brilliant, but left me feeling it should have either been even more over the top and funny all the way through or less slapstick and a lot more cerebral. The first 10 minutes where they explain how everything went wrong was almost the best bit. eg. Things like the army guy in charge of the experiment trying to be a pimp detracted. I dunno. Just felt the latter half of the movie could have been a little more.. cutting. I still think of "Ow My Balls" every time "Funniest Home Videos" is advertised/flicked through though.

You don't expect such movie to be popular on a board comprised of so many retards. None of my regular contacts liked the movie.

I think I'm the only person on the planet who doesn't think that movie was particularly funny. I had already heard everyone raving about it online before I ever watched it, but it didn't do much for me. I had to force myself to watch the whole thing.

First time I watched it, I thought the exact same thing. I thought the actors were all wrong and the whole nine yards. Then after watching it a few times I realized it was all pretty much perfect.

A lot of that was due to Fox pulling a lot of shit with Mike Judge. If not for Robert Rodriguez stepping in and tossing some effects into it, it could have been even worse.

A lot of fun in rewatching the movie is catching all of the background action...

Much like "Pineapple Express" that I saw last night, they're both hysterical and so "dumb funny" that you've got to be in the mood or able to put your brain on pause at will to enjoy them.

Hilarious movie, great quotes.

That would be great to put on decline pages.
