1Mbit billed on average method = ~330GB per month

If you get a capped 1Mbit line and manage to sustain your bandwidth right below capped level without going over... probably around 300GB. This is if you have VERY flat bandwidth and traffic patterns (NOT TGP postings).

95% means it polls your bandwidth every 5 minutes for the whole month and knocks out the top 5% of reading (kills spikes). In order words you are allowed to spike for 35 hours a month over your normal bandwidth level without paying more than expected.

For TGPs, do average billing
Paysites, do 95%.
Other types of steady traffic do capped.

You can also do capped if you push a lot of bandwidth (100+Mbits) and your patters are pretty constant.

Get nice hardware and tell them you won't need much bw till you get your site running.

Then when its running buy more bw.

If you order crappy hardware and you really have a popular movie you will need to move servers pretty quick.

BTW, if you are going to host movies and you are seriously going to pay those prices listed on LW's site, good luck to you in your venture!

if you're planning to go large, plan ahead (in terms of boxes/load balancers/pipe).
