Quick Stock Investment Question
A company closed at 3.13 today. I'm obviously wanting to buy at this price as soon as the trading day starts tomorrow. I'm investing through Etrade. I can buy at market value (god knows what that'll get me), or set a limit.
Last time I set a limit for the closing dollar amount, and after hours trading brought it above my limit, so the transaction wasn't completed. If I set the limit to 3.20 for this investment, and they're able to buy at 3.13 as soon as the market opens, will they? Market value, to me, just seems like "whenever we get around to it"? Any experience with Etrade and how things work?
