local retailers are losing the battle to ECommerce imo
i figure i buy 90%+ of all my purchases online these days- including groceries and booze.
i try to buy locally but find too many stores are not carrying full inventories and say they have to order that. well, i can order it. i could of ordered it before going there and not had to drive/park, deal with an sales person that doesn't know the product, pay tax and full retail. i was at albertson's grocery and they did not have a single bag of ruffles potato chips in any flavor, 2x. went to cyclegear to buy a basic motorcycle cover and a generic security device- they have to order those. why bother? with the convenience, price, quick shipping and selection online, local retailers rly need to rethink how to win back customers. are you finding the same? |
