local retailers are losing the battle to ECommerce imo
 

i figure i buy 90%+ of all my purchases online these days- including groceries and booze.

i try to buy locally but find too many stores are not carrying full inventories and say they have to order that.

well, i can order it. i could of ordered it before going there and not had to drive/park, deal with an sales person that doesn't know the product, pay tax and full retail.

i was at albertson's grocery and they did not have a single bag of ruffles potato chips in any flavor, 2x.

went to cyclegear to buy a basic motorcycle cover and a generic security device- they have to order those.

why bother? with the convenience, price, quick shipping and selection online, local retailers rly need to rethink how to win back customers.
