Do non-recurring billing options harm revshare affiliates?
The "$x for 30 days non-recurring" billing option is becoming more and more popular.
Some time ago I saw an affiliate manager of a revshare program on another board state that most non-recurring members just sign right back up. I presume this is typical of all programs displaying this option on the join page. So affiliates of these sponsors get less than $15 on the initial sale, and the sponsor is home free to keep the full $30 when the member rejoins. Who is paying on rejoins within a certain period of time? |

It depends on the client, really.
If their cookies have not been reset, NATS default is to keep the cookie for 365 days. The revshare affiliate will have it show as another new client, rather than an ongoing transaction - so other than being held NET15/NET30/NET7/etc, they'll generally be paid out the same. If a program has the cookies set to something less, well, that's due to the program. You'll have to ask them.

I was told a years ago to charge $5-7 more for a month non recurring and you will not lose your recurring members but gain more overall members
A lot Surfers today don't trust recurring memberships these days cause of all the nightmares some have been through to cancel their memberships so they will pay more to not have to worry about rebills. I've done this for a longtime and the ones that join the non recurring are just interested in trials but the surfers that are fans of the girls join recurring and rebill. From what I've seen it's like 10-15% that pay the extra money for non recurring

I don't mind as an affiliate as long as the program charges a few bucks more per membership
