Something to think about with this sniper issue

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, an average of 28 people are killed by guns every day.

So why does this sniper get so much media attention?

My answer would be that it's a good story. The kind of story that movies get made about. It's a story with drama + suspense + horror.

Ummm...

My guess is because the same person is doing all the killing.

Same reason the media covers serial killers.

I don't really think this is about statistics. It has a town in fear and that is where the story is.

You could say the same about 9/11.

3000 people dead, so what? In the 15-24yo age group over 10x that number of people died last year in the US, preventable causes accounting for many of them.
