Interestingly, it looks like the Israelis have copied the old Palestinian tactic of using civilians as human shields, transporting soldiers mixed in with civilians on a bus.

A public bus on a normal road between israeli cities can be expected to carry many civilians (those who are still risking public transport anyway) and the terrorists are 100% sure they will kill & maim many civilians - that is what they want! As most people in israel do national service in the army you can pretty much be certain that there will be soldiers on every bus, in every pub, restaurant, disco, beach, bank, hotel etc etc. Israel does not send bus loads of civilians into battle to prtect soldiers!! Wonder if there were any australian soldiers on leave in bali the other day? Probably using the civilans there as human shields eh?  |
