How long does it take to get over pets dying? I feel like they are the only true unconditional love.
My condolences,we lost a schnauzer about 2 years ago and I know how you feel....

I am sorry. I would freakout. I couldn't live without my dogs. I would rather get killed than live a day without them. If something happens to them, it might as well happen to me, I don't want to ever live a day without them.

So sorry to hear that I couldn't even imagine how you feel. I love my pets and couldn't imagine losing any of them. I can't believe the driver didn't stop. I don't know you but here is a hug for you.

One of our dogs got into a fight with another one of our dogs and literally had his skin ripped off by the younger dog's teeth. After this situation the dog was in pain and a few days later had a seizure then died. It takes quite a while to get over this shit. Just take your time and grieve as much as you need.

Well its your fault maybe you should of held the leash tighter? Your dog is a mini schauzer ffs it doesnt matter if it bolts or even grows wings the thing should not be stronger than you.

My wife and I lost a wonderful, wonderful young cat, named Vash the Stampede, Vashy for short, to a car two days ago. We are still grieving badly.

He was a maine coon mix, with the most incredible personality. He would cuddle and follow us around, almost like a dog, something maine coons are famous for.

We also feel responsible. I thought he was too smart to get hit, and the road was at the edge of the property, away from the house.

We feel terrible. We will get more cats, but he was very special.

Had it happen about 7 times in the last 10 years
about 4-5 times by a car

cats, dogs, etc.

Had my parents pets disappear after years or get killed by a car.

You need to buy some young puppies to be happy again
and then you can also put the dog in a box with a little dog top that looks like it, grab a couple of little dog statues or other stuff that reminds you and keeps the happy memories
