CSS overlay ads....do you use them?

About how many adblocking systems have started to kill them/if any?

How do they affect your returning surfers if you use a "over-zealous" css overlay....like the ones that take over the entire page until you click "(x) close"?

Which sponsors do you use who now offer css overlays/pop-ups.....& who do you think has the most creative suite of css ads for webmasters available?

I don't like them and won't use them on any of my sites, even though it is probably leaving money out there for some mainstream projects, but I don't like to use anything that I can't stand coming across myself. I like peel ads though, voluntary and cool.

Well, they're definitely way better than the old days of infinite popups and popunders...
And for those sites that only ever had one popup, they were usually closed before the first bit of HTML could load.
With overlays, they always get seen... and when done right, can be done quite tactfully and efficiently in every browser.

i try not to put peel ads on, but usally sponsors prepay for the spots, so i guess money wins over personal choice
