problem viewing htaccess files in ftp client
could someone please tell me how to make the .htaccess files (in the server) viewable through my ftp client please? i've tried a few different programs (cute ftp, terrapin, ws ftp, etc) but none of them show the htaccess files. i know they are there 'cause i uploaded time and time again.
i think there is a command that needs putting into the ftp program. little help please? |

Your servers conf files are set to "hide" any files that begin with a period ( . ) like .htaccess .htpasswd etc
You should SSH in with a telnet client like putty or secure CRT. Then you can run a command like la too see everything including the hidden files. |
