I think a better question is, how much is everyone spending on gas each week? I'm spending probably about $35 or less, with a 6.1L V8. How much gas are YOU using? ;)

Gas went up in the states but it is still cheaper than europe. Paying 5.5 Euros / l (1 litre = 0.264 us gallons) is quite alot.

I assure you my 2L turbo diesel bmw sedan has enough torque to pull a tree stump out of the ground. As long as its not some ridiculously large tree stump.

I keep it simple.. I have a 2004 chevy malibu 4 cylinder, gets about 30mpg cheap on gas and I mash the shit out of the car.. I'm gonna get a new one soon, just about done paying this one off.. will prolly go with a Toyota Hybrid next... I don't need a fast car to pull pussy..

3.9 or 3.6 can not remember, and for the size, it does ok on mpg.

Cayenne Turbo 4.5 L 450hp 16 mpg

our car is a 5.7L V8 345HP Hemi that gets 18MPG combined

our SUV is a 5.7L V8 405HP that gets 16MPG combined

My CURRENT main driver is a Cherokee 5.7 Hemi but I'm going to be driving the 4.0 Wrangler around town when I don't need to room to haul stuff. The Cherokee only gets about 11-12 MPG driving up and down the mountains.

I wasn't able to drive it (stick shift) after 2 surgeries in the fall and just got a new battery for it yesterday. I actually forgot how much fun it is to drive :) Plus it's a "convertible" :) :) :) But driving it in traffic in ATL is just past my patience point so the Cherokee will still get driven.

and i don't doubt that SOME people might need a truck, but how many truck owners are ripping tree stumps out of the ground on a daily basis?

or would it make sense to drive something smaller with 40-50 mpg and rent something big for a day from the saved money if you really feel like ripping tree stumps? ;)

I wouldn't be able to leave my house with a 2.0L engine - that's important to me :thumbsup My 4.0 can do it, but it has to be put into 4WDH.

Tom_PM 06-17-2008 08:34 AM

1.9 DOHC 4 cylinder. 32/40mpg, although I drive very little and 1 fill up lasts at least 12 months. I think gas was just $3.00 or so the last time I filled up.
