the real deal about what happened

Basically, I was working at Python for just under two years when one of the Managers, Heather Bell, had asked me to do a backup of the naughty list..

So i went on about downing the the emails, since there were a few million email address this would take a while to do because the process could not be automated and the system access to the lyris system was to be removed soon.

I started off by downloading everything from the office and when my time there was done i went home and continued working from home downloading everything before the access to lyris was revoked, this is when they had GZGreen running their lists.

Anyways, during that summer i had entered a joint venture with some ppl from python and these other two chicks, the lesbians i spoke about in a previous message, well, lets just say that the business relationship went sour one day and i cut my ties with everything which was happening.

Now, to make a long story short, one day they log into an account which i had not removed (forgot about) and downloaded the list. The original reason they had access to the machine was to upload site design, not go downloading emails/work i was doing.

Anyways, to make a long story short, it turns out that these people who took the list from me were actually spamming the list and trying to broker the list to other people, which one of them ended up going back to python and telling them about it, which i am glad they did since it was never my intentions for this to happen.

When the court case came my lawyer explained to me my options and that i could fight it, take the chance of losing and having to pay a settlement plus a nice sized lawyer bill or he could settle for a small amount, small lawyers bill and be done with it.. So instead of taking the gamble (i had shitty luck lately) and ending up hundreds of thousands in debt i opted for the quick/cheap way out of it all..

I understand some of you would have fought it but you probably have the money to burn to fight a huge porno company i didnt and i didnt feel like owing a shitload of money.

You should have gone to the mall to get a lawyer. They are a lot cheaper than those fancy downtown ones. Plus, their minds haven't been clouded by "years of experience" so you stand a much better chance of winning. Live and learn I guess.

I am far to lazy to re-type this whole thing again so i have taken the liberty of just cutting and pasting from the thread I started about this.

Hey Joe,

Glad to see you decided to put in an appearance.

And to all ou people laughing at Joe...please stop. The lesbians did have the list. But they didn't
steal it.

Joe...why don't you tell the people here about the server you had of your own that was sending
the Naughty Mail lists out...and about the Brand new Mustang you bought while still working at
Python that you couldn't have possibly afforded...even with you still living in your Mom's
basement.

And even though mentioning the Navaho deal is a way to draw attention away from yourself I
will tell you that you haven't got a clue what happened there. I was one of the people going out
to strip clubs with them...

Joe..there are far to many people around that know what you did and how you got caught
fucking us.

To call DVP names like that has to be the most outrageous thing I have heard...In the years
that I have worked for Python he has done nothing but help the people that work for him.

He does treat the people that rip him off in an entirely different fashion.

lets try to keep this to one thread ;)

The server i had? you mean the server the group of us bought for the websites we were going to have up and running? it was never anything to do with the naughty list. it was about the venture/deal i had originally going. I never b ought the server, someone wrote me a cheque for it (if you feel like details).

As for the brand new car, naw, i never got a mustang, i hate the the new design of them since they changed in 94.

But as you just made clear, this was the exact problem python had, they trusted everyone else but their employees and usually got it in the ass a couple times.

As for the Navaho stuff? I know a lot more than you think you dumbass but i just couldnt really be bothered to bring it up. to engage in more petty shit with you/python is pretty much pointless.

As for DVP, he is very condencending and that is just my impression of him that i got after working there for nearly 2 years. If he would stop a minute to take his dick out of Vanda he might see the light. maybe he deals differently with customers/friends but for employees my experience has been anything but.

I forgot to ask, is python still harvesting the whois database and spamming? i notice how domains i register on NSI seem to get naughtymail spam, maybe that is why the clicks were low, because you guys spam and your ips are black listed

i see you're also using Advance webhosting Inc as a spam gateway masking it as a free hosting page which is messing up webmasters who put in time and effort into making pages on AWI? i would strongly suggest against using AWI for free hosting

You're not too bright are you. They should have not been accessing that information at all nor loggin into the machine since i owned it. Like i said, there was an account which was over looked and they used that one to log into the machine, yes this was done after months of us not talking because of the failed venture.

Please read things before making senseless posts where your questions have already been answered

OK. May be im not too bright. And you are. You were bright enough to let them LOG INTO the server AFTER the deal went bad. AFTER the "failed venture" they could still log in. And I am not bright. Er.................OK!

1 more thing, if they LOGGED IN, how is that hacking?

A definition of hacking (originally known as cracking) could be considered unauthorized access to machine, which indeed this was.

If they logged in...how is that hacking via your defintion of "unauthorized" access. Logging in is authorized access. Plus, hacking and cracking are two very different things.

Good article you posted!

Sorry, just having fun!

Yes yes, hacking actually related to programming whereas cracking is breaking into systems.

I guess from what you're saying that if you found someone pin code along with bank card it is ok to remove money from their account.. nice morals.

The last thing i would have done was leave these chicks on my system, and until python informed me of what had happened i knew nothing of what had happened... none the less, they had absolutely no right to log into any machine of mine, hence an unauthorized login, cracking!

No Joe, I am not saying that at all. I am saying that if I have an ATM card and go to an ATM and put in my PIN, of course I am going to have access. The bank set my PIN in the first place. If the bank wants to cancel my PIN, then they should cancel it not leave it open with extra money in the account.

Listen, I am sure it was probably an honest mistake, I just don't get how you both got sued. You, if it was an honest mistake, I can understand them firing you for it, I've been fired for less, but sued???. And them because I don't see how they did anything illegal. They DL'd a file on a server that they were granted access to.

they were granted access to the machine when it was 'our' machine but once i bought it it became my machine. Because i had removed the other 10 accounts and mistook one account for a legit one and they logged in, yes it was sloopy.

when the logged in and took the list they had no authorization to be on my machine, the removal of every one of the other accounts proved that. It comes down to finding a bank card with the pin number, is it ok to take money out?

Ok, I see where you are coming from. Basically, you cancelled all accounts except for one that you thought was legit. Except they still had access to that one. And I assume that one had some special prviledges on the server, because they were able to access the list....

Well, all the accounts on the machine were used for me and i was the only person using the machine so it wasnt set up with multiuser security in mind, if user dirs has not been readable or they had a chroot shell/ftp they couldnt have done much damage but since i was the only person supposed to be on the machine i wasnt too concerned about file permissions.

If it was intented to be a virtual server type of thing with lots of users accessing it for hosting an such then it would have been a lot tighter.. while initially while the venture was progressing i didnt have anything work related on the machine because of shit liek this happening.

Joe

Exactly, at one point when the machine was ours and was being used for our stuff they did have/were granted access but once everything was over it had all changed...few months later i find out what had happen.

That may be true, and I have seen nothing refuting that, but how did they know it was stolen? And I still don't get why everyone was sued...? Your (honest) mistake on the server, them finiding it on a valid account, I don't see where the theft was

You're welcome for the completely useless information i have provided you. Maybe if you had the names they operate under it would be different, however, i dont have that.

I'm sure if gregp has a problem he will end up visiting me at my addy on the whois info for my domains.. I dont see why he is getting all worked up for since he seems to be connected in no way to any of this.

I don't know who GregP is, at least I don't think I know him. I'm the one that turned the thief lesbians in and started all this mess for everyone. See, I just cause trouble everywhere that I go
